Layana Resort & Spa

The rooms at Layana Resort & Spa run from garden pavilions and beach villas to a 265 m² villa, and several rooms have garden, pool or beach views. The rooms come with bathrobes, a hair dryer and an electric kettle, and most have a bathtub in the bathroom. Pavilions, villas and suites are all set within the resort's grounds.

Floor areas start at 49 m² in the garden pavilions and reach 265 m² in the villa. There is also a twin room with two single beds, while most rooms have a king bed. Several bathrooms have a roll-in shower, an accessible toilet and a shower chair.

Layana Resort & Spa has an outdoor swimming pool, a spa with massage, body scrubs and body wraps, a sauna, a steam room and a hot tub, and a fitness centre. The private beach can be used for boating, diving, snorkelling and watersports, and watersport equipment can be rented.

Dining options are restaurants, a coffee shop, a poolside bar and a snack bar, with room service and food delivery. Buffet and continental breakfast are offered, and the front desk is open 24 hours.

Airport transfers, tours, bicycles, car hire and a shuttle service are offered, and free parking is available on site. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and the public areas have WiFi too.

The resort is in the Pra Ae area of Koh Lanta, in Krabi province, and Long Beach is 50 m away. Koh Lanta is a long island in the Andaman Sea, with beaches along its coast and villages scattered between them, and Pra Ae is one of those villages. The stretch of sand here is also known as Long Beach, and the resort sits on it.

Klong Dao Beach is 1.5 km away, and the Khao Mai Kaew Cave, a limestone cave in the island's hills, is 9.7 km away. Mu Ko Lanta National Park covers islands and coastline around Koh Lanta, and Khlong Khong Beach and Kantiang Bay are both within a few kilometres. The island has no airport, so guests fly into Krabi International Airport, 54.4 km away on the mainland, and cross to Koh Lanta by ferry.

A day can begin with a swim at Long Beach and a dive trip arranged through the Palm Beach Divers Center, 300 m away. Later, the beaches of Klong Dao and Khlong Khong can be reached along the island's coast. Rough seas can disrupt ferry crossings during the monsoon months, so it is worth leaving some slack in the travel plans.
