Wangsai Resort

The rooms at Wangsai Resort are bungalows and duplexes measuring 16 to 20 m², with garden, sea or pool views. Several have a pool view, and some of the bungalows have a fan or air conditioning. Rooms sleep up to two guests, except the deluxe duplexes, which sleep up to three.

Rooms with a private bathroom have a shower, toiletries and towels, and some of them also have a hair dryer and an electric kettle. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, a flat-screen TV, a telephone or an in-room safe. The bungalows overlook the garden or the sea, and the duplexes overlook the pool.

Facilities at Wangsai Resort include an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, a children's pool and a private beach. The restaurant, the bar and the coffee shop cover meals and drinks, room service is available, and there are BBQ facilities as well.

The resort also offers massage, diving, snorkelling and tours. Car hire, a shuttle service, a taxi service and an airport transfer are available too, and English and Thai are spoken.

For everyday needs there are laundry and dry cleaning services, currency exchange, luggage storage, lockers, safety deposit boxes and a convenience store. The garden and the terrace are part of the grounds, which also include the pools and the beach.

Wangsai Resort is in the Mae Haad area of Ko Pha-ngan, an island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached by boat. The setting is a bay with a sandy beach, with hills rising inland, and the resort has its own private beach. Ko Pha-ngan is known for its beaches, its forested hills and its temples, and several of them are close to the resort.

Haad Mae Haad, the beach of the bay, is 200 m away. The Wang Sai waterfall is 350 m from the resort, and Haad Thong Lang is another beach along the island's coast. Ao Chaloklum Bay is 2.4 km away, with its own village and beach, and Wat Chaloklum, a pagoda, is 3 km away near that bay. The Phangan Safari zoo is also nearby.

Samui Airport (USM) on Ko Samui is 28.8 km from the resort, and the last part of the trip to Ko Pha-ngan is by boat. Beyond the resort and the bay, the sights further away are reached by scooter or taxi. For a day out, combine the waterfall with the temple and a swim at the bay, and finish on the sand. The garden and the terrace are places to sit between outings.
