The main sight nearby is Sukhothai Historical Park, the UNESCO World Heritage ruins of the 13th- and 14th-century Sukhothai kingdom, 21.7 km from the resort. Its central temple, Wat Maha That, sits inside the same historic zone, and Wat Sri Chum, with its large seated Buddha, is also among the ruins. Closer to the resort, Wat Pa Rerai is a local temple about 2.6 km away, and the walking street night market, 9.5 km away, has food stalls in the evening.

A good way to spend a day is an early start at the historical park, followed by a return to the resort for the pool and garden in the afternoon. Sukhothai Airport, 25.6 km away, is the nearest airport, and the ruins are easiest to see at a relaxed pace over several hours.
