The beach road is lined with street food stalls and massage shops, and the streets fill up after dark. Tour agencies and boat trips to the islands nearby are easy to find in town.

Bangla Road, the best-known street for bars and nightlife, is 250 m from the hostel, and Jungceylon Shopping Center, a large mall, is equally close. For temples, Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is 6.5 km away, and it is one of the best-known Buddhist temples on Phuket. The Big Buddha, a large white statue on a hill, is 7.3 km away. Phuket International Airport is 24.5 km away, and the rest of the journey is by road.

A good day could start on Patong Beach, with lunch on Bangla Road, and then continue in the afternoon to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha. In the evening, the streets around Bangla Road are busy until late.
