The bungalows sit in the resort grounds, with a garden-view bungalow that has a fan and a seating area, and a sea-view bungalow with air conditioning and a balcony or terrace. Both have a shower and toiletries, and both sleep up to two guests.

Veranda Lanta & Spa Resort is in the Baan Klong Khong area of Koh Lanta, a long island in Krabi province, Thailand, where Khlong Khong Beach is 50 m from the resort. Koh Lanta is reached by boat from the mainland, and the island mixes beaches, forest and small villages. The village of Haad Khlong Khong sits beside the resort, with local houses, small shops and food stalls, so everyday island life is close at hand.

Lung Phon Beach, 1.4 km away, is another stretch of sand on the island, and Lanta Old Town, 8.2 km away, is a small historic town. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 13.6 km away, is a protected area of forest, beaches and islands, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave, 6.1 km away, is a limestone cave.

A day could start with a swim at Khlong Khong Beach, continue to Kantiang Bay, another bay with beaches, and include a visit to the Khlong Chak Waterfall. Taxis are a common way to move around the island, and the resort offers tours and car hire. The weekly Monday Market, on the island, is a place to buy food, fruit and everyday goods. Between the beaches, the national park and the village, there is plenty to see within a short distance of the resort.
