Veranda Lanta Resort

Rooms at Veranda Lanta Resort range from a 25 m² Deluxe Room with a king bed and a pool view to a 35 m² Superior Triple Room with a mountain view, sleeping up to three guests. A 28 m² Deluxe Villa sleeps up to three guests as well, and the Family Room also sleeps up to three.

The rooms can have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, a flat-screen TV or satellite and cable channels, an electric kettle and a hair dryer. Depending on the room, there may also be a balcony or terrace, direct pool access, a telephone or a desk.

The surroundings are a mix of small villages and shoreline, with a small hospital close by and a mosque a short distance away. It suits a relaxed island stay with the sea nearby.

Within a short distance are the beaches of Klong Nin and Khlong Top Noi, and Masjid Jannatul Hasanah, a mosque 250 m from the resort in Khlong Top. Khao Mai Kaew Cave lies 3.1 km away, and Lanta Old Town, the island's traditional town area, is 5.6 km from the resort. Koh Lanta has no bridge to the mainland, so the last part of the journey is by boat, and Krabi International Airport is 61.5 km away. The resort offers car hire, bicycle rental and a taxi service for getting around.

A good day could start with a swim at Klong Nin Beach, then head to Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 10.5 km away, which covers islands and coastline around Koh Lanta. In the rainy season the sea can be rough, and that can affect the boat crossing to the island. Back at the resort, the two swimming pools and the restaurant make for a relaxed afternoon after a day out.
