Railay Beach, with its limestone cliffs and quiet sand, and Phra Nang Cave are reached by longtail boat from the pier, while Poda Island and Tup Island are day trips by boat. The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 14.4 km away, is a hillside temple complex with a long climb of stairs up the rock.

A day trip to the islands is the main draw of the Ao Nang coast, because boats are the way to reach the offshore beaches. Sea conditions can slow or cancel boat trips in rough weather, so a flexible plan helps during the rainy months.
