A day out could start with a boat trip from the Ao Nang piers to Poda Island or to the Hong Islands, which are 39.1 km away and have lagoons. Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot), a natural pool in the forest inland, makes a full day trip from Ao Nang. Boat trips can be cancelled when the sea is rough, particularly in the rainy months.
