U Residence

The rooms at U Residence are air-conditioned, and each one has a balcony or terrace, its own shower, a flat-screen TV, a desk and a telephone. They measure from 16 m² to 26 m², and their views look over the city, the river or the garden.

Up to three guests can stay in the Superior Double and the Deluxe Suite. The Single Bed room is for one guest, and it also has a mosquito net, with interconnecting rooms available for that room. Room service is available for guests who prefer to eat in their room rather than in the restaurant.

The restaurant, the bar and the coffee shop serve guests, and room service is offered. The hotel also has a garden, a shared lounge with a TV area and a library, so guests have a green place to sit outdoors as well as indoor spaces.

The 24-hour front desk handles express check-in and check-out, luggage storage, lockers and safety deposit boxes, and a concierge is available. Tours and ticket services can be arranged, cash withdrawal is possible, and English and Thai are spoken.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the public areas also have Wi-Fi. Daily housekeeping is provided, and parking is on site. Luggage can be stored after check-out, and lockers are available for smaller items.

U Residence sits on Uttarakit Road in Paknam, a district of Krabi Town near the mouth of the river. The town is a practical base for travellers heading to the coast and the islands, and its streets come alive in the evening with street food, night markets and a walking street. Krabi Town itself is small and low-rise, quieter than the beach resorts along the coast, and much of the area can be explored on foot.

The Krabi Walking Street is 350 m from the hotel, and the City Night Market is 450 m away, with local dishes and snacks in the stalls. Wat Kaew Korawaram, a Buddhist pagoda, is 500 m away, and Chaofa Pier, the ferry terminal, is 150 m from the hotel. Krabi International Airport lies 8 km away, while the beaches are reached from town by road or by boat.

A good day out begins at Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hilltop temple reached by a long climb up the hillside, and the climb rewards visitors with views over the surrounding countryside. The day can then continue to Ao Nang Beach, a busy beach town with boat trips to the islands. From Ao Nang, longtail boats run to Railay Beach and its limestone cliffs.
