Tropicana Lanta Resort

The rooms at Tropicana Lanta Resort measure from 33 to 100 m² and sleep between two and seven guests. Garden views are offered in many rooms, and others overlook the pool. Bathrooms vary: some rooms have a bathtub, others a walk-in or roll-in shower, and a separate shower and bathtub is found in a few.

Depending on the room, you can find an electric kettle, a mini bar, a refrigerator, a balcony or terrace, individual air conditioning and an in-room safe. Several bathrooms also come with toiletries, towels and bathrobes, and the 100 m² family suite sleeps up to seven guests.

Koh Lanta is an island in Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast, reached by boat from the Krabi shore. Tropicana Lanta Resort sits in the Baan Klong Khong area, and Lung Phon Beach is about 500 m away, so the sea is close by. The island is long, so its beaches and villages are spread along its length, and roads connect them, so places further afield can be reached by road.

Lanta Old Town, 9 km away, is one of the island's older settlements. Khlong Chak Waterfall is 14.7 km away, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, which covers the island's coast and nearby islets, is 14.8 km away. Viewpoint Hill, a hilltop lookout over the island, is 4.4 km from the resort.

A day could begin with a swim at Lung Phon Beach and continue inland to the waterfall or the national park, then return to the resort for the garden, the massage service and the hot tub, which are close at hand after a day out. The Monday Market is useful for local food and everyday goods, and the Khlong Dao Muay Thai Stadium is also on the island, so a visit there fits easily into a day spent exploring the island's villages and beaches.
