Tropical Hostel

Air conditioning is in all of the rooms, and the accommodation is built around dormitory beds. The rooms range from a 30 m² dormitory of six beds, with a mountain view, to two 150 m² dormitory rooms, one with ten beds.

Every bed is a bunk bed, and each room is for one guest. The property also has a bar, a garden, an outdoor pool and a fitness centre for guests.

Tropical Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre, and the poolside bar serves drinks and snacks beside the water. The garden is a place to sit with a book during the day and to gather around the fire pit in the evening.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi also reaches the public areas. Air conditioning is in the public area too, and there is a shared lounge with a TV area.

Tours can be arranged, and English and Thai are spoken.

Tropical Hostel is in Ao Lo Dalam on Ko Phi Phi, an island in the Andaman Sea with no airport of its own, so the last part of every journey there is made by boat. The village of Ton Sai, 400 m away, has a ferry pier and its own beach, and many of the sights around the hostel can be reached on foot.

Within a few hundred metres you find the Tsunami Building, a local landmark, and the Phi Phi Market for everyday shopping, with the Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint, a lookout with views over the island, 600 m away. Ton Sai Bay is 650 m away, and Ton Sai Beach is 1 km away, while Monkey Beach, 2 km away, is a small beach where wild macaques live along the shore. The village has a pier, a beach and a market, so the sights are close together.

A good way to start the day is the viewpoint, followed by an afternoon at the pool with a drink from the poolside bar, and an evening in the garden around the fire pit. Boat trips to the bays and islands around Ko Phi Phi leave from the island's piers, and the beach at Ton Sai is close enough for a swim before or after the trip.
