The Kata Open Market, 550 m away, is a local market for food and everyday goods, and the Kata Walking Street Night Market is one of the best-known evening spots in the area.

A good day can start at the Big Buddha and carry on to Wat Chalong, before an evening at the Kata Walking Street Night Market. Dive trips can be booked at the dive centres near the beach, and Kata Noi Beach is a short drive south for a quieter swim, with the beaches of Kata and Karon close by for a shorter day.
