Toto Residence is in the busy part of that strip, so guests who want a beach holiday with evening food and shopping nearby have both on hand. Streets around the hotel carry street-food stalls and massage shops, and the bay's islands are reached from the town's piers.

Noppharathara Beach is 350 m from the hotel and Ao Nang Beach is 650 m away, so the sand is close in either direction. Ao Nang Beach is the busiest stretch of sand in the town. The Ao Nang Night Market is close by, and the piers are where the longtail boats for the islands leave, including the boat to Railay Beach, 3.6 km away, a limestone-lined beach with no road access.

A good day here can start on the sand at Ao Nang Beach, then continue by longtail boat to Railay or to the nearby islands of Poda and Tup. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hilltop temple reached by road from Ao Nang, makes a good change from the beach. In the rainy months boat trips can be cancelled when the sea is rough.
