Poda Island and Tup Island lie offshore, and the Hong Islands are further out by boat. For a temple visit, Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is 14.9 km away, a hillside temple reached by a long flight of steps. Krabi International Airport is 18.9 km away.

A day could begin with a swim at Ao Nang Beach, the town's main stretch of sand and only a short walk from the hotel, then a longtail boat to Railay or to the islands, and an evening at the night market. The sea can be rougher during the rainy months, which affects boat trips, so an evening walk along the sand is an easy way to end the day.
