The Village Resort

The Village Resort offers villas set in its grounds in Karon. Rooms can have air conditioning, a bathtub, bathrobes, a minibar and a balcony or terrace, and several of the villas measure 60 m². The villas sleep from three up to six guests, depending on the villa.

Some villas have a pool view or a nature view, and guests can use the outdoor swimming pool, the garden and the restaurants on site. Room service and a 24-hour front desk are also available to guests.

The outdoor swimming pool and the garden are the main outdoor features, with a poolside bar and a terrace beside them. The restaurants, a snack bar and room service cover meals and drinks, and food delivery is available.

The 24-hour front desk, the concierge, the shuttle service and the airport transfer help guests get around. Car hire, a taxi service and tours can be arranged, and ticket services are available.

Laundry and dry cleaning are offered, as are currency exchange, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes and a library. Meeting and banquet facilities are also available, and parking is on site. Facilities range from the pool and the garden to the laundry service and the library.

Karon is one of the main beach areas of Phuket, with a long stretch of sand and a lively mix of shops, street-food stalls and cafés along the roads behind it. The Village Resort is set in this area, and Karon Beach is 250 m from the grounds. Karon View Point, a short walk away, looks over the bay and the beach. Visitors who want a beach stay with plenty of places to eat within walking distance will find the area convenient.

Within a short drive are Big Buddha Phuket, a large statue on the hills (3.6 km), and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong (4.7 km), one of the island's most revered Buddhist temples. The Big Buddha is one of the best-known sights on Phuket, and the temple is one of the island's most visited. Patong Beach, the liveliest beach area on Phuket, lies 3.5 km away, and Phuket International Airport is 28.6 km from the resort.

A good day could start with a walk on Karon Beach, then continue to the Big Buddha or to Wat Chalong in the afternoon. In the evening, the Karon Night Market is a short walk from the resort, with food stalls and local goods, and the roads around it fill with small restaurants.
