Ao Nang is a beach town on the Andaman coast of Krabi province, with a long strip of sand lined by restaurants, dive operators and boat piers. The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 15.1 km away, is a hillside temple reached by a long flight of steps. Tup and Poda islands can be reached by boat from the Ao Nang shore, and the Hong Islands, a longer boat trip, lie further out.
A full day could start with a longtail boat from the pier to Railay, then a walk to Phra Nang Cave, and end back in Ao Nang at the Ao Nang Night Market, 1.2 km from the hotel, where evening stalls sell food and souvenirs.
