The Topaz Residence

The rooms at The Topaz Residence include standard and deluxe rooms, a superior room and a studio apartment. Some look out over the city and others over the mountains, and bed set-ups range from one double bed to two single beds.

Rooms can have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, a flat-screen TV, satellite or cable channels, a telephone and a refrigerator, and some have a balcony or terrace. Rooms also have a desk, a closet and a seating area, and some have a separate dining area or a private entrance. Hair dryers and towels are offered in several rooms, and a wake-up service is available.

There is a 24-hour front desk, and the property offers a shuttle service, tours, car hire and a taxi service, along with luggage storage and a concierge.

Here the streets keep the look of the old Sino-Portuguese town, with shophouses, Chinese shrines and historic houses, and the lanes of the old town are best explored on foot. Phuket is the largest island in Thailand, and its provincial capital makes a practical base for exploring the island, with the old town close at hand.

Phuket Old Town is about 900 m away, and Thalang Road, lined with historic buildings, is close by. Baan Chinpracha, a Sino-Portuguese house open as a museum, is about 550 m from the property, and the Lard Yai Sunday Night Market, also about 900 m away, is where street-food stalls set up on Sunday evenings.

The beaches are further out. Patong Beach, on the west coast, is 9.6 km away, and Karon Beach and Kata Beach lie a little further on, and Nai Harn Beach is further away still. Wat Chalong, the island's best known temple, and Big Buddha Phuket, a hilltop statue, can be reached by road from Phuket Town. Several bus stations serve the province, and the Phuket Town Local Bus Station is one of the nearest transport points. Phuket International Airport is 26.9 km away.
