The Thai Guest House and Hostel

Patong is one of Phuket's best-known beach resorts, on the island's west coast, with a lively mix of bars, markets and shops around the sand. The guesthouse sits on Sai Kor Road, and the beach is 750 m away, so the centre of the resort is close at hand for guests who want to stay near the sand and the night-time streets, with a range of bars, shops and eating places within a short distance.

The Dragon Night Market is a short distance away, and Jungceylon Shopping Center, a large complex of shops and restaurants, is 800 m away. Karon Beach is 3.1 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is one of the most revered temples on the island. The Big Buddha statue on Nakkerd Hills is 6.6 km away, with views over the hills of the south of the island.

A day could begin on Patong Beach, continue to Karon Beach in the afternoon, and end at the Dragon Night Market in the evening. Wat Chalong is worth a morning visit before returning to the beaches. Phuket International Airport is 25.1 km away, so the journey from the airport to Patong is made by road across the island.
