Big Buddha Phuket, the large white seated statue on Nakkerd Hills, is 3 km away, and Patong Beach, with its nightlife, is 4.2 km. The temple of Wat Chalong, one of Phuket's main Buddhist temples, is a drive away.

Getting around is simple on foot for the beach and the night market, while a car or taxi is the easiest way to reach Patong and Wat Chalong. A good day can start on Karon Beach, continue with a visit to Big Buddha and the temple of Wat Chalong, and end with an evening stroll through the Karon Night Market. Scuba diving and surfing are nearby activities for those who want more time in the water.
