The Tama Hotel

Ao Nammao Pier, 450 m away, is the nearest pier for boat trips along the coast. Railay Beach, 3.5 km away, is reached by boat and is known for its limestone cliffs, and Phra Nang Cave is on the same peninsula. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 12.3 km away, is a hilltop temple above a cave, and Ao Nang Beach, a little further along the coast, has the busier resort strip.

A good day could be a boat trip to Railay Beach from the pier, followed by an afternoon back on the mainland. Krabi International Airport, 15 km away, is the main arrival point for travellers flying in. Boats to Railay and the islands can be cancelled in the rainy season when the sea is rough. Krabi's weekend night market is a lively evening outing, and the beaches, caves and temples of the area can be combined in a single trip, with the hotel as the starting point for each day.
