The Street Hostel Koh Lipe

Some rooms are mixed dormitories and others have a queen or double bed, and they sleep from one to four guests. Air conditioning is available in several rooms, and some have a kitchenette or a window.

Some rooms have a private bathroom and others share one, and the shared lounge with a flat-screen TV is open to all guests.

The hostel offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms and in its public areas, along with a shared lounge and TV area where guests can relax on sofas and bean bags in front of a large flat-screen TV.

On-site parking and a coffee shop are available, and daily housekeeping and dry cleaning are offered. Diving, fishing, snorkelling, tours and ticket services are also offered, and English and Thai are spoken by the staff.

Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is until 12:00.

Pattaya Beach is the stretch of sand where The Street Hostel Koh Lipe stands, 10 m from the water, on Ko Lipe, a small island in the Andaman Sea in Satun province that is reached by boat from the mainland. The Walking Street, the island's main lane, runs close by and has bars, food stalls and dive shops, so the evenings are lively. The village is compact, and the beach, the ferry terminal and the shops can all be reached on foot.

Sunrise Beach is 650 m away, and the Koh Lipe Ferry Terminal is 150 m from the hostel, so arrivals and departures by boat are close at hand. Koh Adang, a neighbouring island 6.2 km away, is reached by boat from Ko Lipe, and Hantalay Temple, a pagoda 450 m away, is a short walk away. Islands further out, such as Koh Sawang and Koh Hin Son, are also reached by boat.

A good day starts with a swim at Pattaya Beach and a walk to Sunrise Beach. Dive shops are a short walk from the hostel, and diving, fishing, snorkelling and tours are all offered. In the evening, the Walking Street is the place to eat, with food stalls and bars along the lane.
