Big Buddha, a large seated Buddha statue on a hill, is 1.8 km away, and Fisherman's Village, a walking street of shops and food stalls, is 2.2 km away. Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue, is 2.3 km away, and the Bophut Food Market is a good place to try local dishes.

A good day could begin with a swim at Hat Bang Rak Beach, continue with a visit to Wat Plai Laem and the Big Buddha, and end with an evening stroll through Fisherman's Village. Everything in this area lies within a few kilometres of the property, so the island's main sights can be combined in a single day, with the beach and the village in the same outing.
