Villa Matisse

Villa Matisse is offered as a single apartment with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping up to six guests. The apartment has air conditioning and a private entrance, and it comes with a choice of bed set-ups across its sleeping areas.

Guests find a TV with satellite and cable channels, a coffee and tea maker with complimentary tea and instant coffee, a hair dryer, toiletries and linens. They are provided in the apartment itself, for the group staying in the whole house.

The villa has a private pool and a hot tub, with a balcony or terrace and a garden outside, and a barbecue grill for cooking outdoors. Free parking is available.

Inside, the kitchen has a refrigerator, a stove, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, dishes and dining utensils, and cookware basics such as oils and condiments, with coffee or tea facilities as well. There is also a washer, an iron and 24-hour security at the property, and the villa has a garden and balcony or terrace for relaxing outdoors.

Families will find a crib or baby cot, a high chair, children's books and toys and children's dinnerware. Pets are allowed, and internet access is available.

Villa Matisse sits in Bo Phut, a former fishing village on the Gulf coast of Koh Samui, where village streets and small stretches of beach frontage sit close together. It is a good fit for those who want the sea close to hand with a private pool, and Hat Bang Rak Beach is the nearest stretch of sand, 250 m away. The village has a relaxed pace compared with the busier stretches of the island's coast, with its lanes leading down to the water.

Fisherman's Village, 1.8 km away, is the old fishing quarter of Bo Phut, with its walking street of shops and eateries. Big Buddha, 2.2 km away, is a large seated Buddha statue overlooking the coast, and Wat Plai Laem, 2.7 km away, is a temple complex with a large Guanyin statue.

Samui Airport is 1.9 km away, so the island is reached by flight and the villa is a short distance from the terminal. A day could mean a swim at Hat Bang Rak, an evening stroll through Fisherman's Village and a morning visit to the Big Buddha. The villa's private pool and hot tub make the time between those outings easy to fill, and the beach is close enough to return to for a late afternoon swim.
