The Rock Patong Comfort Stay

The rooms at The Rock Patong Comfort Stay range from a studio for up to two guests to a family room for up to seven. Several standard rooms measure 29 or 30 m² and have a street view, and some rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and an electric kettle.

Air conditioning, blackout curtains and flat-screen TVs appear in several rooms. Beds include single beds, king beds and bunk beds, and the family rooms sleep five and seven guests. Guests can also use the in-house shared kitchen, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, with air conditioning in several of them.

Free Wi-Fi covers all rooms, and the hostel also has a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, laundry service and daily housekeeping. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hostel.

Tours, ticket services and an airport transfer are offered. Guests can also withdraw cash at an ATM 150 m away and buy from a Family Mart 150 m away. Bottled water is also available, and the hostel has a snack bar.

Dining options include room service, a snack bar, a kitchenette and a shared kitchen, and free parking is available on site. The hostel is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator, and English, Chinese (Mandarin) and Thai are spoken on site.

Patong is Phuket's busiest beach town, a lively strip of bars, restaurants and night markets where the sand and the evening streets are close together. The hostel is on Phang Muang Sai Kor, in the busy part of town, so the beach, the markets and the bars are all nearby. Bars, restaurants and street food stalls line the main roads, and the night markets fill with stalls in the evening.

Patong Beach is 800 m away, and Bangla Road, the street of bars and clubs that gives the town much of its nightlife, is 1 km away. Jungceylon Shopping Center, a large mall, is 900 m away. Further out, Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue on a hilltop, is 6.5 km away, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the island's best-known temples, is 5.9 km away. Patong, Wat Chalong and Big Buddha Phuket all lie on Phuket island, which is reached by road.

A day could start on Patong Beach, continue with a visit to Wat Chalong, and end at the Dragon Night Market, which is close to the hostel. Big Buddha Phuket makes a separate outing, and Kata Beach and Karon Beach offer other stretches of sand for a change of scene, both lying farther out than Patong Beach.
