The River Scene Hotel

The rooms at The River Scene Hotel look out over either the sea or the city. Most have air conditioning, several have a private bathroom, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Many rooms also have a flat-screen TV, a hair dryer and toiletries.

Some rooms measure 30 m², and a 16 m² double room is also available. Beds are double or single, depending on the room. Krabi Town is the provincial capital of Krabi, on the Krabi River on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand, and The River Scene Hotel stands on Thanon Utarakit in the town itself. It is a town base rather than a beach resort, with markets, shops and temples close at hand.

The Wat Kaew Korawaram pagoda is 400 m from the hotel, and the Andaman Art Museum is a short walk away. The Krabi Weekend Night Market is close by, and the City Pillar Shrine and the Maharaj Market are also within walking distance of the hotel. The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 6.6 km away, is a hillside temple reached by a long climb up stairs, and Krabi International Airport is 8 km away. Railay Beach, 10.5 km away, is reached by longtail boat, and its limestone cliffs are among the best-known sights along this coast.

A day could begin with the temples and museums in town, then a boat trip from one of the piers to the offshore islands of Poda and Tup, which are reached by boat. The evening markets are a good way to end the day, and the Krabi Walking Street is close to the hotel.
