The Reef Aonang Hotel

The village mixes small guesthouses, tour desks and food stalls along its roads. The Reef Aonang Hotel is in the village itself, with Ao Nang Mosque next to it and Ao Nang Beach about 1 km away.

Longtail boats to Railay and the nearby islands leave from Ao Nang Beach Pier, 1.1 km from the hotel. Railay Beach, 2.4 km away, is reached mainly by boat, and its beaches are backed by limestone cliffs. Phra Nang Cave, a limestone cave beach on the Railay peninsula, is also reached by boat. Further out, Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is 14.3 km from the hotel, a hillside temple complex with a large Buddha statue.

A day here could start with a longtail boat from Ao Nang Beach Pier to Railay, then return to the beach for the evening, when the road fills with street food stalls and massage shops. Krabi International Airport, 18 km from the hotel, is the closest airport, and the sea around the islands is best seen from a boat rather than from the shore.
