The Racha

The rooms at The Racha range from 43 to 150 square metres and sleep up to seven guests. Several are pool suites, and others are garden-view rooms or villas, with some suites overlooking the sea, the ocean or the pool. The 2-Bedroom Grand Pool Suite sleeps up to five guests, and The Lighthouse, at 150 square metres, sleeps up to seven.

Rooms can have air conditioning, a desk, an in-room safe box, a mini bar, a balcony or terrace and a coffee or tea maker. Bathrobes and hair dryers come with the bathrooms, and many suites also have a bathtub or a whirlpool bathtub. Each room has its own private bathroom, and the rooms sleep between three and seven guests.

The Racha has an outdoor swimming pool and a children's swimming pool, a spa with massage chairs, a steam room and a sauna, and a fitness centre. A library, billiards, a garden and a gift and souvenir shop give guests other places to spend time, and there are also a tennis court and a yoga room.

Dining options include restaurants with a la carte dishes, a vegetarian restaurant, a coffee shop, a snack bar and room service, and the bar offers happy hour. Services include an airport transfer, a 24-hour front desk, laundry and ironing, luggage storage and babysitting. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi is also offered in public areas.

Racha Yai is an island off Phuket, and the resort stands on Batok Bay, with a beach 20 m from the hotel. The island's coastline holds several beaches and bays close to the resort. The island is reached by boat: guests take a speedboat from Chalong Pier on Phuket, and the boats do not run at night. Guests can check in at The Racha Chalong Lounge before the crossing.

Around the resort, Pa Tok Beach is 100 m away and the Ao Pa Tok bay is also nearby, while a viewpoint on the island is close by. Other islands in the area include Ko Racha Noi, Coral Island and Ko Kaeo Noi. On Phuket itself, Patong Beach is 32 km away, and Phuket International Airport is 56.4 km from the resort.

For guests who like the sea, the island offers diving, snorkelling, canoeing and fishing, and tours can be arranged. Between trips, the garden, the spa and the library give a slower pace. On Phuket, the large Big Buddha statue and Wat Chalong, one of the island's best-known temples, make good day trips. Boat transfers can be suspended when sea conditions are unsafe. Ter Bay Beach lies further along the same coast.
