The Park Samui

The rooms at The Park Samui are mostly duplexes with one or two bedrooms, measuring between 145 and 180 m². They overlook the pool, the garden or, in one case, the sea. Each room type has a bathtub and a shower, and the rooms have a hair dryer and a flat-screen TV.

Bed set-ups vary. Some rooms have a king bed, while some of the two-bedroom duplexes combine two single beds with a double or king bed. Sleeping capacity runs from two guests in the one-bedroom rooms to five in the 180 m² pool-view duplex, and several duplexes also have a private entrance, so the choice covers couples as well as families and groups of friends.

The Park Samui has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa and sauna, and massage treatments. The garden and the terrace are also on site. The bar and room service cover drinks and meals, and there is a shared kitchen as well as grocery delivery.

Guests can ask the concierge about tours, and there are car hire, a taxi service, luggage storage and safety deposit boxes. Laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services are available, and a babysitting service can be arranged for families with young children. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and parking on site is free.

The Park Samui is in Choeng Mon, a village area on Koh Samui with its own beach. Bangrak, a district of the island with a fish market on the shore and a ferry pier, is close by, so the hotel sits near the island's everyday life as well as its temples. The hotel's own pools, spa and garden mean the day can start and end on site.

Choeng Mon Beach is 1000 m away, and the temple of Wat Plai Laem, with its large Guanyin statue, is 1.4 km away. The Big Buddha, a large seated Buddha statue at Bophut, is 2 km from the hotel, and Fisherman's Village, the old fishing village in Bophut, lies a little further on. Samui Airport is 2.1 km away, and a car or scooter helps for reaching the beaches further along the coast, such as Chaweng and Lamai.

A day could start early at the Big Buddha and Wat Plai Laem, then move to the lanes of Fisherman's Village for a stroll and a look at the shops. Na Muang Waterfall, 13.8 km away inland, makes a trip of its own, away from the beaches, and is a good choice for a half-day out from the hotel.
