The Palmery Resort

Rooms at The Palmery Resort measure between 40 and 75 m² and sleep from two to five guests. The choice includes a suite, deluxe rooms with pool views, and rooms with a garden view or a terrace. Rooms can have air conditioning, an in-room safe, a mini bar, a refrigerator, a coffee and tea maker and blackout curtains, and some private bathrooms have bathtubs, bathrobes and hair dryers.

Beds include king beds, single beds and a double bed, and several rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups. Guests travelling with young children can ask for a baby cot, which is available on request. Some rooms have a terrace.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a fitness centre and a hot tub, along with a bar, restaurants and room service. A garden and a terrace are part of the grounds, and luggage storage and laundry service are also offered on site.

Daily housekeeping, a concierge, business facilities and meeting or banquet rooms are all offered, and babysitting and wheelchair accessible areas are available. Tours, ticket services, a taxi service and a shuttle service can be arranged, and an airport transfer is offered. Safety deposit boxes are also available for guests.

Breakfast is offered in Asian, buffet and continental styles, and English and Thai are spoken.

Kata is a beach area on the Andaman coast of Phuket, with a wide sandy bay that draws swimmers and surfers, and a strip of shops and restaurants behind the sand. Surf schools operate along the beach, and Kata Beach is 750 m from the resort, a short walk away.

Big Buddha Phuket, a large seated Buddha on a hill, is 1.4 km away, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the island's most revered temples, is 4.7 km away. Patong Beach, with its nightlife on Bangla Road, is a longer drive away. Phuket is linked to the mainland by a bridge, and Phuket International Airport is 32.6 km from the resort, so the last part of the journey is by road. Big Buddha Phuket and Wat Chalong are among the island's best-known sights for a half-day trip, and both are reached by road from Kata, the beach area where the resort stands.

A good day starts on Kata Beach, then continues with a drive to Big Buddha Phuket and Wat Chalong, and ends with dinner on Karon Beach, the neighbouring bay. A local market for fresh food and everyday goods is also close by, and a bus stop for Phuket town is near the resort.
