The Oasis Khaolak Resort

Rooms at The Oasis Khaolak Resort can have air conditioning, a private bathroom, a safe and a balcony or terrace, depending on the room. The Deluxe Double and Deluxe Twin have a pool view.

The Deluxe Double, Deluxe Twin and Deluxe Room each measure 36 m², and the Deluxe Room sleeps up to three guests with a choice of bed set-ups. The Deluxe Double Room sleeps up to two guests.

The Oasis Khaolak Resort is in Khao Lak, on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand, in the Khuk Khak area close to sandy beaches. The coast here mixes beaches, small villages and forested hills, with national parks both inland and offshore.

Khuk Khak Beach is 1.1 km away and Bang Niang Beach is 1.2 km away. The Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is 4.8 km away, and Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, with its rainforest and hiking trails, is 6.2 km away. The International Tsunami Museum, 1.6 km away, documents the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that struck this coast, and Similan National Park, reached by boat from the mainland, is known for its diving.

A simple day could start at the International Tsunami Museum and continue to the afternoon market in Bang Niang village, before going down to Khuk Khak Beach. The nearby villages of Ban Khuk Khak and Ban Bang Niang put the beaches, markets and museums within an easy outing, and life there is quiet and local, with small shops and food stalls along the roads. Boat trips to Similan depend on the sea, which can be rough at certain times of year, so those trips are best planned in advance.
