The Nine Thipthara Resort

Rooms at The Nine Thipthara Resort are villas in several layouts, and several of them have a pool view or pool access. Air conditioning and a wake-up service are offered, and some villas add a balcony or terrace or a whirlpool bathtub.

Beds are mostly double and king beds, and one villa has a sofa bed in addition to its king bed. Capacity goes up to four guests in the Deluxe Pool View Villa and in the Superior Canal View Villa. The Pool Access Villa measures 63 m² and has a balcony or terrace. Several villas also come with flat-screen TVs and telephones, and their bathrooms have showers, bathrobes and hair dryers.

The Nine Thipthara Resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a spa with a sauna, and massage treatments. The grounds include a garden, and there is an elevator.

The restaurant, bar, coffee shop and room service cover dining, and continental breakfast is offered. The front desk is open 24 hours, and luggage storage and daily housekeeping are offered as well.

For getting around, the resort offers an airport transfer, car hire, a shuttle service and a taxi service, and tours can be arranged. Laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services are also available, along with ticket services, a postal service and safety deposit boxes for guests who want them. Daily housekeeping is part of the service.

The Nine Thipthara Resort is on the mainland coast of Krabi province, in Ao Nang, where limestone hills rise behind the shoreline. Ao Nang is a resort town lined with restaurants, tour offices and shops, and the boats to the islands leave from its piers.

Noppharat Thara Beach is the nearest beach, 3.9 km away, and Ao Nang Beach lies along the same coast. Railay, 7.9 km away, is reached only by longtail boat from Ao Nang and is known for its limestone cliffs. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 14.2 km away, is a hillside temple reached by a long flight of steps, and Krabi International Airport is 19.6 km away. The resort also offers car hire and a taxi service.

A day could start on Noppharat Thara Beach and continue with a boat trip to Railay, Poda Island or Tup Island, then return to Ao Nang for the evening market. Boats to the islands can be cancelled when the sea is rough, which is more likely in the rainy months. A full day on the water can be followed by an evening in town, where the market and the restaurants of Ao Nang are part of the town's evening life.
