The Neighbors Hostel

The Neighbors Hostel offers dormitory rooms and double rooms, and every room sleeps up to three guests. Rooms can have air conditioning, a desk, a sofa, blackout curtains, linens, a washing machine and a hair dryer, and some have a shared bathroom with a shower and toiletries.

Guests can spend time in the shared lounge with a TV, in the game room with pool and foosball, or at the bar. Some rooms have a city view, and the hostel's rooms are set up for shared and private stays in Phuket Town.

The 24-hour front desk is staffed around the clock, with room service, a bar, a coffee shop and a snack bar, and BBQ facilities are also available. Parking is free.

For getting around, the hostel offers an airport transfer, a shuttle service and a taxi service, and tours and ticket services can be arranged. Bicycle parking is available too.

Guests can use luggage storage and safety deposit boxes, laundry and ironing services, and daily housekeeping. The hostel also has a terrace and a shared lounge with a TV, and activities such as diving, snorkelling, canoeing and hiking are offered. Guests can also use the game room for pool and foosball.

The hostel stands on Phangnga Road in Phuket Town, the island's historic centre, where Sino-Portuguese shophouses line narrow streets and small museums sit among them. The old quarter mixes Buddhist pagodas, a mosque and a Chinese shrine, and the streets are easy to explore on foot. The walk through the old town is a good way to see the architecture of the island's trading past.

The Sunday Walking Street Market, which runs along Thalang Road on Sundays, is 100 m away, and the Peranakan Museum and the Baba Phuket Museum are close by. The Trickeye Museum, a 3D art museum, is also in the area, and the pagoda of Wat Mongkol Nimit is 250 m away. Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 7.2 km away, and Patong Beach is 10.4 km away.

For a day out of town, the Big Buddha and the beaches of Karon and Kata are farther out on the island, and Phuket International Airport is 26.9 km from the hostel. Back in the old town, the evening can start with a stroll through the Sunday market, which is right nearby. The streets around the market fill with stalls on Sunday evenings, so the walk back is lively and easy to follow.
