Every room at The Leaf Oceanside by Katathani Resort has a private bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer, toiletries and towels, and each one has a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels and a telephone. Room sizes run from 38 to 55 m², and the rooms sleep two or three guests.

Nang Thong Beach is 150 m from the resort, and Sunset Beach is 1.4 km away on the same coast. The Kuan Yin pagoda sits close by, and the Tsunami Memorial is a short distance away. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, 2.2 km away, has forest trails and waterfalls, and the five-tier Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is 4.1 km away.

Boat trips to the Similan Islands leave from the mainland and run only outside the monsoon months, so the season matters for a day out. A good day could combine the forest trails of Khao Lak-Lam Ru with the waterfall, then end on Sunset Beach. The Tsunami Museum and Bang Niang Market are also nearby, and the nearest airport, Phuket International, is 59.6 km away by road.
