Klong Muang is a quieter stretch of the mainland coast of Krabi, with the beach in front of a line of resorts and a slower pace than in the busier beach towns nearby. Boats to the islands leave from those busier beaches, which are a short drive away.
Ao Nang Beach, 7.9 km away, is the busiest beach town nearby, and the boats to Poda Island and Tup Island leave from there. Railay Beach, 10.8 km away, is reached by longtail boat and has limestone cliffs rising over the sand.
