The Guest Hotel

The Guest Hotel's rooms run from 10 m² dormitory places with bunk beds to a 50 m² room with two queen beds for up to four guests, so both solo travellers and small groups have options. Most rooms have a city view, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

The private rooms include a 28 m² room with a double bed and 24 m² and 20 m² rooms with queen beds, and each of these has a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. The dormitory rooms share a bathroom and sleep between one and six guests, with bunk beds in each room.

Guests can book a massage, and the hotel offers an airport transfer, tours, and a range of activities including snorkelling, diving, canoeing, fishing and hiking. A taxi service and car hire are also offered.

Krabi Town is the provincial capital of Krabi, on the mainland of Thailand's Andaman coast, beside the Krabi River. The hotel sits in the town's busy streets, where shophouses, markets and street-food stalls line the roads. It is a town rather than a beach resort, so the evenings are spent at the markets and food stalls rather than on the sand.

The Krabi Walking Street is 200 m away, and the Krabi Weekend Night Market and the City Night Market are a short walk from the hotel. Wat Kaew Korawaram, a temple with a pagoda, is 250 m away, and Chaofa Pier, a ferry terminal, is 400 m away. Further out, Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) is 6.9 km away, a hilltop temple reached by a long climb, and Railay Beach, 10.3 km away, can only be reached by longtail boat.

A day could take in the Walking Street and night market in town, the Andaman Art Museum and the Mangrove Boardwalk, then a boat trip out to Poda or Tup Island. Tours can be arranged for the islands, and the Hong Islands and Emerald Pool lie further out. In the rainy months, boat trips to the islands can be disrupted by rough sea.
