The Grace Amphawa Hotel

The rooms at The Grace Amphawa Hotel measure 25 to 30 m² and come with a king bed or with two single beds. Some look over the river, others over the garden or the surrounding nature, and several have a bathtub or a whirlpool bathtub in the bathroom.

Rooms can have air conditioning, a refrigerator, a TV, a hair dryer and toiletries, and towels are provided for guests. Amphawa is a canal town in Samut Songkhram province, southwest of Bangkok, where old wooden houses line the waterways and the pace is slower than in the capital. Canal boats, food stalls along the water and the floating market draw most visitors, and the countryside around the town is rural and quiet.

Within a few kilometres you will find Wat Chan Charoen Suk, a pagoda 1.7 km from the hotel, and the Maeklong Railway Market, 2.1 km away, where the stalls are pulled back as the train passes through. Wat Kaeo Fa, another pagoda, is 2 km away, and the Amphawa Floating Market is 3.8 km away. The hotel rents bicycles for trips between them.

A relaxed day could begin at the Maeklong Railway Market, then continue to the Amphawa Floating Market, where food vendors sell from boats on the water. The Amphawa Thai Dessert Museum and the King Rama II Museum are also nearby, and the King Rama II Memorial Park is within a few kilometres. Back at the hotel, the garden, the pool and the hot tub make a quiet place to end the day. After a day out, the restaurant at the hotel is there for dinner.
