Khao Lak is a stretch of Andaman coast in Phangnga province, where small hotels, restaurants and shops line the roads between the sea and the forested hills inland. The hotel is about 780 m from the beach, with the coast and the hills both close by, and Phuket International Airport is about 60 km away.

Inland, Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, 2.8 km away, covers forest and hills with waterfalls and walking trails, and Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is one of the falls nearby. The Tsunami Museum, 2.1 km away, tells the story of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that struck this coast, and Bang Niang Market is a local market in the neighbouring village. Boats to the Similan Islands leave from the Khao Lak coast.

A good day could start on the beach, then head inland to the national park or Ton Chong Fa Waterfall, and finish with a visit to the tsunami museum. A quieter day can be spent on the sand at Nang Thong Beach, the nearest beach to the hotel, and Bang Niang Beach is also close by in the same area. Sea conditions on this coast change through the year, and boat trips to the islands are sometimes cancelled when the sea is rough.
