The Blue Parrot Beach Resort

All the rooms at The Blue Parrot Beach Resort have a garden view, a balcony or terrace and a seating area. They measure between 20 and 25 m² and sleep up to two or three guests, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Beds vary by room. Some rooms have two single beds, others pair a double bed with a queen bed, and the triple rooms combine a single bed with a double bed. Air conditioning and fans are both found in the rooms, several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and some rooms also have a desk and free bottled water.

Ban Tai Beach lies on the coast of Ko Pha-ngan, an island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached by boat from the mainland and from Ko Samui. The resort is a short distance from both the sea and the island's town life, rather than in a remote hillside setting. Thong Sala, the island's main town, is 1.5 km away, with its shops, eateries and ferry links. The nearest airport is Samui Airport on Ko Samui, 18.9 km away, so the last stretch of the journey is by boat.

The beach is 10 m from the resort. The Wat Rat Charoen pagoda stands 950 m away, and the Ko Pha-ngan Pier, the island's ferry terminal, is 1.8 km away. The Koh Phangan Public Park and the Fresh Market are also nearby, giving the area more than the beach alone.

A simple day could start with a visit to the pagoda and a walk through the Koh Phangan Public Park, then continue to the Fresh Market and the pier, before returning to the beach in the late afternoon. The pagoda and the park are the calmer stops of the day, while the market and the Night Market bring more activity, with food stalls and local goods.
