The Big House

The rooms at The Big House share a mountain view and a private entrance. One is a double room with a queen bed, and the other is a one-bedroom house where a queen bed or a sofa bed can be set up, with room for two guests in each. Both rooms come with a fan, linens and a mosquito net.

Each room has a shower, toiletries and towels, and guests can also spend time in the garden or the shared lounge and TV area.

Free parking is available at The Big House, so guests who arrive by car can leave their vehicle on site. Pets are allowed. The property also has a bar, and food delivery is available for guests who want a meal without going out.

The garden and the terrace are outdoor spaces for guests, and the shared lounge and TV area gives everyone a place to sit together indoors. A kids meal is offered for younger guests.

In the rooms, guests can find a fan, linens, a mosquito net and a dining table, and toiletries and towels are provided too. A baby cot can be provided on request, and a wake-up service is offered.

The Big House is in the Ranong area of southern Thailand, on the Andaman Sea coast, where a string of bays and beaches runs along the shore. The coast here is quieter than the resort islands of Phuket and Krabi, which lie further south, and the setting is more about the sea than about nightlife. Ranong town is the main settlement nearby, a practical base for a stop on the way south.

The nearest beach is Had Ao Siad, 550 m away, and the bay at Ao Lek and Ao Kai Tao beach are a little further along, at 1.6 km and 1.7 km. Several more beaches, including Ao Pai Beach and Ao Kwang Peeb Beach, are further along the coast. For the islands, Koh Phayam Pier, the ferry terminal, is 7.1 km away, and Ranong Airport, 15.8 km off, is the nearest airport to the property.

A day here can combine a swim at Had Ao Siad with a trip to the pier for the boats to Koh Phayam, the island that lies off the coast from Ranong. The beaches further along the shore give a different stretch of sand to walk, and the bays make a good change of scene. In the rainy months the sea can be rougher, which can affect boat trips to the islands.
