The nearest beach, Kamala Rock Beach, is 2.5 km away, and Patong, the island's best-known beach resort, is 4.8 km away for a busier evening. Kamala Mosque and the Monday Friday Market are also close to the resort. Phuket is joined to the mainland by a bridge, so the island can be reached by road.
