The Beachfront Hostel

Rooms at The Beachfront Hostel are dormitories, most with bunk beds and a shared bathroom, and several have air conditioning. Some dormitories are for women only, and others are mixed.

A day here could start with a swim at Chaweng Yai Beach and an afternoon at the Big Buddha temple, then an evening walk along the Walking street and through the Night Market. Na Muang Waterfall, inland on the island, makes a day trip away from the coast, and Lamai Beach, further south along the coast, has its own long sandy shoreline to explore. Chaweng's shops and restaurants are concentrated along the streets behind the sand, so a walk along the beach road is an easy way to see the area on foot. Lamai Beach and the Big Buddha are the two other sights in this list that suit a half-day trip from the hostel, and both are reached by road from Chaweng.
