Samui Airport on the neighbouring island of Ko Samui is 22.3 km away across the water, so reaching Ko Pha-ngan from there means a boat. The Sunset Low Tide Viewpoint is another place worth seeing, and bicycle rental and car hire can be arranged at the resort for getting around.

A good day could begin with a swim at Wok Tum Beach and a walk to Ampawan Temple. Later you can visit the Phantip Market for everyday shopping or head into Thong Sala, and finish at the Sunset Low Tide Viewpoint in the evening. Between outings, the outdoor and indoor pools, the children's pool and the private beach are on site, so an afternoon can be spent without leaving the grounds at all.
