Thaihouse The Riverfront

Each room at Thaihouse The Riverfront has one double bed and sleeps up to two guests, and the bathroom is shared with other guests in the hotel. Rooms look out over the river or the garden. Free bottled water and wireless internet access are also provided in the rooms.

All the rooms measure from 13 to 25 m². The 13 m² room has air conditioning, the 20 m² room has a balcony or terrace, and the 25 m² room has a seating area. Guests also use the hotel's garden and shared lounge, and a shared kitchen and room service are on site. Extra beds depend on the room chosen.

The grounds include a garden, and the guesthouse has a shared lounge and TV area and a game room. Massage, tours and bicycle rental are also offered, along with a laundry service and an airport transfer.

Thaihouse The Riverfront stands on the Chao Phraya River in the Pratuchai area of Ayutthaya, a city that was the capital of the Siamese kingdom for more than four centuries, until 1767. The historic city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and many of its temples date from the 14th to the 17th centuries, surviving as brick and stone ruins. The riverside setting places the guesthouse close to the old temples, and some of its rooms look out over the water.

The Ayutthaya Historical Park, with its temple ruins, is 1.2 km away. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, with its Khmer-style towers, is 1.4 km away, and Wat Mahathat, known for a Buddha head set among tree roots, is 2.3 km away. The Chao Sam Phraya National Museum, with art from the Ayutthaya period, is also 1.4 km away, and bicycle rental at the hotel is a practical way to reach them. Wat Phutthaisawan Temple is close to the guesthouse too.

A full day could start at the historical park, continue to Wat Mahathat and the national museum, and finish in the guesthouse's garden. Ayutthaya Train Station is 3.6 km away, with trains to and from Bangkok, so the city can also be reached from the capital by rail.
