Loymanee House

The rooms at Loymanee House have double, twin and king beds, and several of them have a balcony or terrace. Two rooms look onto the river and several onto the garden, so the view depends on the room you book. Rooms can also have air conditioning and a desk, and some have their own private bathroom.

The King Suite with Balcony offers a choice of bed set-ups for up to two guests, and the Twin Room with Balcony has two single beds with a garden view and air conditioning. The Petchompoo Twin bed, a 22 m² room, has a river view, a coffee and tea maker and free bottled water. Guests can choose between a 16 m² twin room with a private bathroom and a 31 m² king suite.

Loymanee House has a garden and a terrace, along with a shared lounge and TV area where guests can meet and relax. The garden is a place to read a book outdoors. Breakfast options are Asian and continental, and there is also a private barbecue area and room service.

Tours, bicycles, car hire, a shuttle service and an airport transfer are available. Guests can also use a concierge, luggage storage and a laundry service.

Daily housekeeping, an ironing service and dry cleaning are offered, and valet parking and a car charging station are available alongside the free parking on site. Between the temples, the ruins of the park are spread across a large open area, so it helps to plan the route in advance and to pick the sites you most want to see.

Loymanee House is in the Ayutthaya Riverside area, close to the former capital of the Siamese kingdom, where ruined temples and brick shrines stand among the trees. Ayutthaya was the seat of the kingdom for about four centuries, and its ruins form a UNESCO World Heritage site. The neighbourhood is built around that heritage, with temples close together and the Chao Phraya river flowing nearby.

The temples are close by. Wat Kasatrathirat Worawihan is 150 m away, and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, a brick temple housing a large reclining Buddha, is 850 m away. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, with its Khmer-style central prang, is 1.1 km away. Ayutthaya Train Station is 4.1 km away, and trains from Bangkok stop there. Don Mueang International Airport is the nearest airport, 49.2 km away.

Spend the morning at the Ayutthaya Historical Park, where the ruins are spread over a large area, and take the afternoon back at the property's garden. The town rewards slow walking, so give yourself time to look at the brickwork and the Buddha statues rather than rushing from temple to temple. Wat Kasatrathirat Worawihan, the closest temple, is an easy first stop each morning before you head further out.
