The rooms at Sunset Mansion range from standard rooms of 25 m² to one-bedroom apartments of 40 to 43 m², and several of them have a city view. Several rooms also have a walk-in shower and a hair dryer, and the one-bedroom apartments have satellite or cable channels.

Some rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups, and the Standard Double Room sleeps up to four guests. Several rooms have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, and some have a hair dryer and an electric kettle.

Bangla Road, Patong's nightlife street, is 1.1 km from the hotel, and Jungceylon Shopping Center, a large mall, is 1.2 km away. Karon and Kata beaches are the next bays along the coast, reached by road from Patong, and Phuket FantaSea is a theme park with evening shows. The Big Buddha, a large statue on a hilltop 8.5 km away, is one of the island's best-known sights, and Wat Chalong, one of Phuket's best-known temples, is reached by taxi or songthaew.

Phuket International Airport is 23.2 km away by road. A day could start on Patong Beach, continue to Kata or Karon, and end on Bangla Road in the evening. The island's quieter bays lie a short drive away, and boat trips to the offshore islands depend on the weather and the sea. Walking is the easiest way to reach the beach and Bangla Road, while the temples and the Big Buddha are further away and are best reached by taxi or songthaew.
