Sunset Beach Resort

Sunset Beach Resort offers rooms in several types, from 35 m² superior rooms to 65 m² junior suites. Rooms can have a balcony or terrace, a bathtub, a kettle and a refrigerator, and the private bathrooms come with a shower, a hair dryer and toiletries.

Some rooms have a sea view and others a pool view, while some junior suites offer a kitchenette and a bathtub. A choice of bed set-ups is offered in several rooms, and some rooms sleep up to five guests. At Sunset Beach Resort the outdoor swimming pool sits alongside a children's swimming pool, and the spa and sauna, the fitness centre and the poolside bar are on site. The restaurants serve a la carte, Asian, American, vegetarian and Western dishes, and room service is available.

Free parking is available on site, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, with Wi-Fi also in the public areas. Tours, car hire, a taxi service and a shuttle service are offered, and there is an airport transfer at an additional charge. Families can use the kids club, the playground and the family room, and the resort has a garden, a terrace and wheelchair accessible areas.

Patong is the busiest resort town on Phuket's west coast, and Sunset Beach Resort is on Phrabaramee Road, about 700 m from Patong Beach. The beach is a long sweep of sand lined with restaurants, bars and shops, and the streets behind it come alive in the evening. Most of the restaurants and shops sit on the streets running back from the sand, a short stroll from the resort. It is a lively base for guests who want to be near the sea and the nightlife.

Bangla Road, the nightlife street, is 2.1 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, also known as Wat Chalong, one of the most visited temples on the island, is 8.6 km away. Kalim Beach and the Zorbing Rollerball are also close to the resort, so the sea and the town are close together. The Big Buddha Phuket sits on a hilltop above the island, and the Jungceylon Shopping Center is close by for shopping and a meal.

Phuket International Airport is 22.1 km away, and the resort offers an airport transfer at an additional charge. For a half day, the temple at Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha make a good outing; for a full day, the beaches of Karon and Kata are reached in a short drive from Patong.
