The rooms at Sunrise Resort Koh Phangan range from the Superior and Deluxe rooms to garden villas, the Thai House Villa with Beachfront View and the Beach Front Villa. Depending on the room, the views look out over the garden, the pool, the beach or the ocean, and several rooms have a balcony or terrace.

Ko Pha-ngan has no airport, so the nearest is Samui Airport (USM), 14.3 km away on Ko Samui, and the last part of the journey is by boat. Ferries link the island with Ko Samui and the mainland, so arrivals by air or by land include a boat crossing. Ban Haad Rin village is close by, with its bars and guesthouses along the beach, and the Full Moon Party draws large crowds to the sand each month.

For a day away from the Haad Rin bars, Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach is 10.2 km away, and the resort offers tours and a taxi service. Rough seas can affect boat services between the islands, so allow extra time when you travel.
