Sunrise Mountain Resort

Sunrise Mountain Resort has doubles, triple rooms and a pool villa, with capacity from two to four guests. The DOUBLE SEA and the Triple Room Sea have a sea view, and the Tripple Room Pool has a pool view.

The Double Executive sleeps up to three guests, and the Triple Room Panoramic up to four. The 9 Bedroom Pool Villa sleeps up to two guests, and the Double is a room for up to two guests.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, plus a poolside bar, a garden and BBQ facilities. For meals there are restaurants, room service, breakfast in the room and a kitchen, with Asian, buffet and continental breakfast styles.

A 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing services, luggage storage and a concierge are available. A taxi service, car hire, a shuttle service and an airport transfer are offered, and tours, massage, fishing and horseback riding can be arranged.

The family side includes a playground, a babysitting service and a family room. The languages spoken include English, Thai, Mandarin, German, Russian and Burmese, and the resort has 24-hour security.

Sunrise Mountain Resort is at Chaweng Noi on Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand, with Samui Airport 6.7 km away. Chaweng Noi is quieter than Chaweng, the island's busiest beach, so guests can choose between calm days by the sand and evenings out on the main roads. The island's roads link the beaches, and the resort's car hire and shuttle service help with getting around.

Lamai Beach is 1.9 km away, and the Lamai Night Market is a market for the evening close to the beach. Further out, Na Muang Waterfall, a forest waterfall in the island's hills, is 7.5 km away, and the Big Buddha, a large statue, is 9.2 km away. Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue, is also nearby, so the Big Buddha and the temple can be seen on the same trip.

A full day could combine a swim at Chaweng Noi Beach with a visit to Na Muang Waterfall and the Big Buddha, leaving the evening for the markets at Lamai. For shopping, the Central Festival Samui centre is on the island. Back at the resort, the pools and the garden offer a quieter finish to the day.
