Sunny Cove Beach Resort Koh Phayam

The rooms at Sunny Cove Beach Resort Koh Phayam have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, toiletries and towels, air conditioning and a private entrance, and free bottled water is provided in the rooms. Some rooms face the sea and others the garden. The two-bedroom bungalow has two bathrooms, so it suits a larger group of travellers.

A garden-view bungalow measures 30 m², and a sea-view twin room measures 95 m². The family room sleeps up to three guests, and one of the garden-view bungalows also has a fan alongside its air conditioning. Each room has its own private entrance, so the bungalows and rooms can be reached directly from outside.

Koh Phayam is an island off the Ranong coast on Thailand's Andaman side, with no bridge to the mainland, so the crossing is made by boat. Its beaches, bays and small villages are spread around the coast, and the resort sits among them, with its bungalows and rooms in a garden setting. A beach stay here is built around the sea, with water sports and boat trips close by. Much of the island's life runs along the coast, so the beaches are where most days begin and end.

Ao Khao Kwai Beach is the closest beach to the resort, and Ao Hin Khao, 800 m away, is another stretch of sand on the coast. The Hin Talu viewpoint, 1.5 km away, gives views over the coastline. Koh Phayam Pier, 2.7 km away, is the ferry terminal where boats link the island with the mainland.

A day could start on the sand at Ao Khao Kwai Beach, then continue to the Hin Talu viewpoint for the coast, with canoeing or snorkelling from the resort's water sports in the afternoon. The beaches of Ao Pai and Chedi Loi Nam lie further along the shore for a longer day out. Boat crossings to the island can be disrupted by rough seas during the rainy months.
