Phayamas Private Beach Resort

The rooms at Phayamas Private Beach Resort measure from 32 m² to 68 m², from garden-view doubles and twin rooms to sea-view duplex suites and bungalows. Rooms can have air conditioning, a fan, a mosquito net and a refrigerator, and many bathrooms have toiletries and towels.

The duplex suite sleeps up to five guests and the sea-view bungalow suite up to six, and both offer a choice of bed set-ups. Several of the garden-view rooms sleep up to three guests, and most of the rooms have a private bathroom with a separate shower, a walk-in shower or a shower and bathtub.

Koh Phayam is a small island in the Andaman Sea, part of Ranong province in southern Thailand, and the resort sits on its own stretch of beach. The island's appeal lies in its beaches, bays and small villages rather than in busy streets, and the resort's own stretch of sand gives guests a base close to the water. The island is small, and its beaches, bays and villages make up most of what a visit offers.

Several beaches are close to the resort: Chedi Loi Nam Beach is 700 m away, Ao Mae Mai Beach is 1.1 km away, and the village of Ao Mea Mai is also nearby. The Bot Klang Thale pagoda is close by too, and the Hin Talu viewpoint lies on the island. Koh Phayam Pier, about 1 km from the resort, is the island's ferry terminal, so the island is reached by boat from the mainland.

A good day starts with a swim off the resort's private beach, followed by a walk to Chedi Loi Nam Beach or a visit to the Hin Talu viewpoint. Boat crossings can be disrupted during the rainy season, so the sea conditions shape any trip to or from the island.
